Weight loss is the No 1 resolution Every New Year.
The resolution statement would be the same. All will say that: THIS YEAR I WILL LOSE THIS WEIGHT!
We may just set the target and start with the New Year, but soon we fizzle out as we don’t find ourselves motivated enough to carry out the effort.
Isn’t that what happens to all of us?
It’s no wonder most fitness shops put up advertisements with so many catchy schemes during December as they know this is the only time for them to sell.
What does it mean when we look at the statistics and we see that 80 per cent of the resolutions fizzle out within 20 to 30 days?
Most of these goals are not achieved because we set ourselves up for failure.
The main reason is that we set goals very clearly but don’t see ourselves moving towards them consistently even in the face of setbacks. The euphoria of setting the goal and seeing ourselves achieving it fizzles out when the actual moment of action comes up. We drift back to the stuck place without understanding what happened.
At the end of it all, we start thinking that achieving this weight loss goal is very difficult or almost impossible & we give up.
It’s all a brain game. While the brain is an amazing organ, it will push you slowly to your old habits for survival(comfort level).
The very fact that you set weight loss goals every year shows that it is your no 1 agenda in mind, so How do we get around.
